Massive GTA 6 leaks go viral in just a few hours

Images and videos of Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) have had massive leaks, generating different opinions among game lovers. The GTA forums have uploaded about 90 videos, in an archive that reaches 3 GB. It still remains a mystery how the leak of such a large number of videos was generated. At all this, it is still expected from various forums that may appear, in addition to more leaks, some source code, compilation tests and other data from GTA VI.

The Bloomberg portal had reported earlier this year that the new GTA would include a female character. In the massive leaks, a female protagonist can be seen in several videos. Sources of the Rockstar Games site have allowed to give veracity to the leaks that were known in these last hours. Platforms such as YouTube, Reddit and Twitter, along with the aforementioned online gaming forums, were flooded with these leaked videos. Lucia, according to a video that appeared on YouTube, would be one of the female characters, who can be seen “robbing” a restaurant and taking hostages.

The problem of massive leaks

Within the different leaked clips, another character can be seen on the “Vice City Metro” train. This allows fans to recognize that there is a very fictional Miami setting, as was the case in 2002’s GTA: Vice City. Also seen are poolside situations as seen in other NPC-style games in Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2. While there is not much information on how old this “footage” may be, many can be run on the RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3080 cards. This allows us to infer that this compilation cannot be more than two years old. Although according to official reports GTA VI is about two years away, leaks from early development allow us to recognize some of the aspects of the upcoming game.

This is not the first time that a Rockstar game has been leaked in this way. In 2018, Trusted Reviews found itself in the position of donating more than $1 million to charities. In addition to having to issue a statement of apology, after the site made public some details about Red Dead Redemption 2, before the launch of the game took place.

Official silence

Several portals have sought to contact Take-Two, owner of the Rockstar company, but there has been no response so far. Anyway, it is known that the owner of the firm has been submitting requests for removal of images about GTA VI that have been hosted on YouTube. When re-entering some of the videos, which were online, the legend: “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Take 2 Interactive” appears. This situation, which has just begun, may end up causing a lot of inconvenience to those who have made the initial leak.
