Minecraft turns 10 years old, celebrate it by playing for free from your browser!

That’s right, Minecraft, one of the biggest phenomena in the history of video games, now allows you to play it from a browser, thanks to the fact that it is about to turn 10 years old. Don’t you think it’s great? Well, you should know that the official website of the title Mojang, owned by Microsoft, opened a website where you can play it for free, but be prepared for nostalgia, because you can do it as you did in 2009, that is, what you know as Minecraft Classic.

And if we talk about nostalgia, it is because you will literally play its original version again: the same interface, its bugs, limitations and even the absence of content, and of course all its virtues will also be included. Ah! The best of all is that you can invite up to 9 friends to the game and create scenarios of different sizes.

Besides, the nostalgic experience couldn’t be more complete, because as if that wasn’t enough, the controls are just like the original ones: mouse to build, B key to select blocks, WASD to move and space bar to jump.

In case you still don’t believe it I leave you the evidence, because through a tweet, they announced:

“You know what’s even better than new content? Good old-fashioned nostalgia. To celebrate Minecraft‘s 10th anniversary, we are launching MINECRAFT CLASSIC for your browser. Play the original creative mode, complete with its 32 blocks and bugs!”

And not only this, Minecraft will have surprises in the future, big surprises!

Microsoft has big plans for Minecraft in the future. In addition to its recent arrival on the Xbox Game Pass service and a movie that is already confirmed for May 2020, the other thing to look forward to in the future is the inclusion of some form of augmented reality.

And they are not assumptions, we tell you the above because with a small trailer, Microsoft announced that it is preparing an application very similar to Pokémon GO, famous because with this you play in the street while you see creatures of the title. However, I can only tell you this, as we will have to wait until May 17 to find out new details.

So, what are you waiting for to celebrate 10 years of Minecraft in style? Playing it just as and how it all started! Not to make you feel like an old man, but how fast time has gone by!
