The Chinese manufacturer of electronic devices, Xiaomi, presented what aims to be its new flagship, the 13 Pro model. The presentation was made through an event that was broadcast live in China. The device is not yet available worldwide. We are looking at one of the first smartphones after the Vivo X90 Pro Plus, which was unveiled in November. Both devices will feature the most powerful chip a smartphone can have. We are talking about Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Different specifications detailed by some specialized portals speak of a 6.73-inch screen. It would feature a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels. In terms of RAM it would come with 8 or 12 GB, while its storage could be 128 – 246 or 512 GB. The battery would be of 4820 mAh, being its charging by cable of 120 W, for its part the wireless charging would reach 50 W.
Xiaomi also multimedia
The rear camera array of this Chinese manufacturer ‘s flagship will be Leica branded. The device will feature three 50-megapixel sensors, something that was also included in the Xiaomi 12 Pro, which came out last year. Anyway there are differences, the main camera has a 1-inch IMX989 sensor from Sony. The telephoto lens has a 3x zoom.
Another major change can be found in the spec sheets of the Xiaomi 13 Pro. Here we can highlight what the IP68 dust and water protection is. These two features were absent in previous flagship models introduced by the manufacturer.
In terms of audio and multimedia, there are also specifications listed in the respective sheet of Xiaomi 13 Pro. The flagship includes Dolby Atmos branded stereo speakers. They come with head tracking, in the style of Apple’s Spatial Audio, only for Android. In addition, an IR blaster highlights the audio quality of this device for all your multimedia activity.
New for the flagship
This new device from the Chinese company seeks to stand out in a field that demands a lot of versatility in its features. Anyway, in several ways it remains similar to what the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro model counted in its specifications. The display of the Chinese manufacturer’s new 13 and 13 Pro models can illuminate the entire surface area at 1200 nits. In turn, the brightness increase during HDR video playback would count with a maximum increase of 1900 nits.
The aforementioned prominent Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip is going to be combined with LPDDR5X memory and next-generation UFS 4.0 storage. This is coupled with a telephoto camera with a solid upgrade and many improvements. The device features an island, for its rear cameras, which is square with oval corners.
