This is how the new mid-range cell phone, Samsung Galaxy A80, was presented at an event held simultaneously in Sao Paulo (Brazil), Milan (Italy) and Bangkok (Thailand) last April 10, 2019.
Samsung’s new Galaxy A family comes as a change in the name of the company’s mid-range, formerly known as Galaxy J. It is also a response to the constant growth of this segment.
DJ Koh, president of Samsung Electronics, announced at the event:
“The Samsung Galaxy A80, is designed for a generation that expects more, has the best screen, the best camera and the best battery.”
But what are the major new features of the Samsung Galaxy A80?
The Samsung Galaxy A80 is a large device, as it has a 6.7-inch display with FullHD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080 px) and Snapdragon 7150 processor.
But beyond the aforementioned features, the Samsung Galaxy A80 stands out for its design, specifically for its reversible camera. The South Korean company ventured with this new idea, using a retractable module at the top that houses the front camera, which is used especially when the user selects the selfi mode.
And there is more! Its rotating camera has a 48-megapixel main sensor and f/2.0 focal aperture with a second 8-megapixel sensor. In addition to a 3D sensor with a depth of 8 megapixels.
And what’s new with its reversible camera features, you should know that with the depth camera users can make Live Focus videos by scanning objects to measure depth and with the Super Steady mode, ideal for action videos, vibration is reduced. With its intelligent scene optimizer function, up to 30 different scenes are recognized and improved, and it automatically detects technical problems before starting.
