Not everything is artificial intelligence at Google and the launch of its two smartphones proves it. These are the new Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a, two devices with many features to highlight.
The company’s annual event was the place to present these new phones and also a tablet that target different audiences. The Pixel Fold is a high-end phone as indicated by its cost and is the company’s first foldable smartphone. On the other hand, the Pixel 7a is mid-range and is an improved version of the 6a.
Google Pixel Tablet is the other launch that was presented at Google I/O. This is the company’s first tablet and the highlight is that it includes a novel wireless charging station and has an integrated Chromecast.telef
Google Pixel Fold: slim and revolutionary design
Google Pixel Fold is one of the highlights of Google’s event. It offers a slim design and is Google’s debut in the world of foldable smartphones. It offers the company’s latest Tensor G2 processor and the displays feature OLED technology. The size of the external display used with the device closed is 5.8 inches and the internal display is 7.6 inches. Unlike other phones of this type, the folding is book-style, allowing you to take better advantage of the split screen. When opened, it looks like a tablet but is a slim device. According to Google, it has sturdy hinges and weighs 283 grams.
Regarding the cameras, the Google Pixel Fold has a 64 MP main camera, a wide-angle and a telephoto lens of 10.8 MP each, with a 5x optical zoom.
Google Pixel 7a, a very complete mid range
The other device launched at Google I/O is the Pixel 7a, a mid-range smartphone but with many high-end features. It has very good performance with the Tensor G2 processor, making it a fast all-rounder. It has a more compact size than other smartphones, as its display is a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The main camera is another evolution with respect to its predecessor as it goes from 12.2 MP to 64 MP while the wide-angle is 13 MP, as is the front camera.
It offers fingerprint reader and facial recognition, something to highlight in a mid-range mobile. It features 8GB RAM and also includes 7.5W wireless charging, another highlight in smartphones of this type.
The Google Pixel 7a is now on sale at €509 and is available in light blue, coral, snow and charcoal. On the other hand, the Pixel Fold will be launched in June in the US, UK and Germany at a price of €1899, and includes the Pixel Watch.
